Hello all,

I'm a permaculture newbie but I have have seen all the Lawton/Mollison videos in their permaculture
design course and listened to most of Paul's podcasts.

So, I just got some land SW of Covallis, 3.4 acres zoned EFU on the Alsea river.

Lawton says you NEVER design your own property. I am looking for a experienced
designer (PDC cert + plus prior designs I can see).

message me for more info.

Paul,

I am not the designer that you are looking for, but just wanted to touch base that I also live in Corvallis and am looking for a permaculture type farm to help out on and get integrated into more of until I can afford my own property. Once you find your designer if you need some help please let me know.

Also on side note I know that Larry Korns brother lives in Corvallis, so maybe thats a good person to contact and find out designers in the area. I recently moved here so I am not integrated into the local perm community yet.

Howdy Russ and Marcel, welcome to permies!

Russ, Did Lawton say that?
I am wondering why a person should not work on designing thier own property ? Especially if they have taken the time to study all of the info that is out there?
Not to knock a PDC trained person. I am sure it would be helpful.

Hello Miles and Marcel

I heard Lawton say that on of his DVDS.

I contacted Andrew Millison from OSU,

He came out and we went over some the advantages and drawbacks of the place.

Pretty informative. I will start with the earthworks soon.

Cheers!
