Pigs for sealing ponds

I know Sepp Holzer recommends using pigs to seal ponds.

I like it when information is confirmed independently.

I've got a few feeder pigs in the new pond area to do that exact thing. I probably need more pigs to do it well. The pigs love the edge of the water and will wallow and compress it.

I've also heard of people using cattle and other animals to do a similar thing when a pond is dry (or slightly muddy).

I've been wondering if a group of small children could seal a pond. I'm experimenting. They do like to muck about.

Matu, it might work, but what a costly investment!

It's a pretty small experiment. It's all experiments here! We don't use money if we can help it...
