Hello other permies,
Starting November 1st, my partner Phil and I (and our two children) are embarking on a 60-day "sustainability tour" We are traveling NY to LA and up the west coast in search of intentional communities, green businesses, collectives, biodynamic, organic & urban farms, eco-villages, green building techniques etc. We have many hosts already and we are documenting our journey via our website www.abundanceeverywhere.com in hopes of spreading awareness about the importance of adopting a greener way of living and to inspire and incite
people to take action in their own communities. I
think there is a lot of fear about taking steps toward being more ecologically minded, people think that they have to live in muddy stick houses that fall apart in the rain! We hope that by featuring our experiences with these successful models, we can show "mainstream" people that you can still live a comfortable and happy existence (probably even happier than they already are) when they start getting more involved in creating a better world for all- and they start in their own community.
Here is where you all come in! We want our website to be very open-source, a sharing of knowledge and
experience, questions asked and answered or explored further... Of
course we will be linking this site if applicable- we are all about collaboration.
We will be posing questions about
permaculture and such on our blog and we would love to hear your comments and feedback about them.
We only have a few posts up at the moment because we are still in our infancy, but please dont be shy!
Just to be clear, this is a NONPROFIT site, we are not making any money off getting more people to come to our site, this endeavor is purely for the sharing of knowledge and hope of reaching a broader, more diversified audience.
Thanks for your time and participation
all the best
Sarah Phil Chick and Penjie
