Q: Will there be food at the
workshop?
A: Food is not considered part of the price of the workshop, however, workshop participants will be invited to dine with Paul. We have posted more about the food we eat under
food and drink at the project.
Q: Where can I stay?
A: Camping is available onsite. More information at
workshop & visitor housing including links to threads about hotels or car rentals. See also the next question and reply.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Near Missoula, Montana. Once workshop participants have paid the workshop fee, they will be sent the address and directions, and, if requested, a list of
local, offsite accommodations and camping. See the
location & visitors thread for how and why we ask for help in maintaining our privacy.
Q: Do you offer work trade?
A: As described in
work trade for workshops if someone volunteers prior to a workshop, they could be offered credit toward, or possibly covering, a workshop fee.
Q: Do you offer a couples discount?
A: Not unless specified in the workshop pricing.
Q: Can I bring my pet(s)?
A: No. This is a working farm with active predator wildlife about as well as construction activities, so it is not an appropriate place for dogs or pets (that do not live/work here). Service dogs could be an exception, though there are some situations/workshops that could be contraindicated for service dogs as well.
Q: Can I bring my kid(s)?
A: Mostly, no. As stated above, this is a working farm with active predator wildlife about as well as construction activities, so it is generally not suitable for children at this time.
Q: Can I bring my (non-participating) spouse, friend, parent, etc.?
A: For a large fee, maybe. There is so much to consider with this one that in order to keep things fair for paying participants as well as simple for the organizers, our current idea is to charge a lot of money. One possible route is to have the spouse (or whomever) look into being a
plotskateer while here instead.
Q. Will a tour be included?
A. It depends. We are working on workshop formats, schedules, personnel, as well as equipment, in order to make this possible. A tour might be tagged on before or after a workshop.
