Request for a bottom login button

So I get an email from permies that says a new message has been posted in the_forum_I_am_watching and as a feature I am sent directly to that new message.... Nice! Ok, I have something to add, but need to log in... It seems I can't be logged in twice and I tend to hop from machine to machine, so I don't do permanent logins. Anyway the latest message is normally at the bottom of the page, but I have to get to the top so I can log in. Sometimes the page is quite long and it would be nice to able to log in at the bottom of the page as well as the top.

I have a pretty good work around- at the bottom of the page just to the right of the quick reply and the visit counter, there is a Select a forum Slide. You can scroll to
match the forum you are on right Now ( or any forum ) and it takes you to the top of the page! #1)run the slide, #2) click on, and then #3) click on to log in ! Big AL

Or, just hit the "Home" key. That should take you to the top of the page.

Did you actually try that while logged out? None of the sign posts you listed are there when logged out.

Hitting the home key does work, but after I log in I now have to go looking for the message I wanted to talk to. End takes me right past it.

Getting an Email from a followed thread can happen two or three times a day. It is a nice feature, but being able to easily follow through would complete it. An even better/nicer solution would be to have a login button where the quote is on a logged in session. After login you would be returned to that message (even if that was not the message from the email ). Think of the person who has both a home computer as well as one at work, uses restaurant wifi, android/ijunk during their transit ride to work, whatever. The programming only has to be done once, the user has to "work around it" daily times the number of users.
