Canadian industrial scale farmers, the North Dakota Agricultural Commissioner and, Dr. Andrew Weil discuss industrial hemp farming in this 10 minute video. Farmers in Manitoba are replacing the canola in their three year rotation in favor of hemp

Another video from Canada with both conventional and organic crops. This one is full of detail from planting depth and soil temperature through harvest.

Again this is seen as a transition crop for Industrial producers looking to cut down on fertilizer and pesticide use while growing in a traditional three year rotation

Thanks for sharing. I have been curious about the process of growing hemp. I am a big fan of hemp seed. The nutrition profile and taste make it an excellent food. I would like to grow some here. Its too bad that it is a controlled substance in the states. Its definitely too useful to be grown here.

I think we really need an angry pitchfork wielding emoticon.

The state of Kentucky as we speak is suing the Federal Government to get back a seized order of hemp seeds.

I don't see why everyone's not upset that Canada is steeling all the business.

As soon as monsatan patents the genetics of a hemp strain, their friends in a certain administration will get it legalized. It will likely be only the patented variety though.

See where your hand is? Not there. It's next to this tiny ad:
