Hi,

I live in Carlsbad, CA - my user name in the course is also Sheri Menelli.

I don't know as much about Paul's ways of doing things as I do Geoff's but I think
it will be interesting to compare how they approach things.

I was trying to do this course a year ago but didn't have the funding back then for it.
I signed up within 30 min of registration opening and had read and watched everything
within 15 hours. Bummed it is so long before we get the next section. However, it is probably
better for my family that I didn't get access to everything or I would have disappeared for weeks.

My goal is to one day have a permaculture demonstration site. I live in a typical tract home in
Southern California. We live in an HOA (Home Owners Association) so we do have some
restrictions on what we can and can't do.

My biggest challenge right now is how to make things look nice (as in design). I'm really terrible at that
at the moment but if I can overcome that, I can really have a good example of how others can live
in urban areas, produce food, etc and how it can still look nice and be accepted.

Glad to meet you all!
Sheri

No worries, You did sort a kinda..you just made an entire new thread in the forum Geoff Lawton's online PDC/In Carlsbad, CA and very excited about the PDC" , instead of just saying hello in the main thread where we all are commenting which is Geoff-Lawton-online-PDC/Permies-Geoff-Lawtons-Online-PDC.

No biggy, just almost no one will see your individual post (cause this is a big forum) so you may want to just come on in and say hello here IN this main thread.
