I recently attended a presentation at my local library on how to extend the growing season...I was hoping to hear something about creating micro-climates by adding texture to the landscape but all I got was use plastic every where. I think I was most perplexed by the fact that the presenter was teaching sustainable agriculture at the local community college. Sustainable can mean a lot of things to people but to me it doesn't include a bunch of plastic to grow my food.

I had considered asking him about creating micro-climates but after a response to a previous statement I decided to save my breath.

I did win a book by sitting on the seat that had a flyer taped to the bottom of it...now to read the book.
