Hi,

I was wondering if anybody is interested in a Canadian seed swap. I saw there is one going on at a different part of the forum but it's USA mostly. I am quite sure that it's not legal to ship seeds or plants across the border and I was thinking we could start one up here. Also, I would rather have seeds from a similar zone than e.g. zone 8 growers.

I also saw that Michelle is looking for a few plants here. Maybe we can help her with seeds at least?

Ok, so I am looking for Maximillian Sunflower seeds!

I have a lot of seeds, here is a variety:

Creme de Cassis Hollyhock
Pizzicato Poppy
Antwerp Mixed Hollyhock
Saphyr Blue Flax
Primadonna Deep Rose Echinacea
Blue Curled Scotch Kale
Lemon Balm
Munstead Lavender
German Chamomile
Panorama Bee Balm
Jade Cross Brussels Sprouts
Easter Egg Radish
White Vienna Kohlrabi

Edit: I am also looking for ramps (Allium tricoccum)!

I would be into this, but I need to learn how to save seeds first

I don't have much experience in saving seeds myself but I found these articles:

I've missed it two years in a row now, but have you heard of seedy saturday in Calgary? You should definitely check it out since you're close. It's only once a year, and I'm afraid you've missed it this year, but next year you should come. It's a seed swap where everyone gets together to swap seeds.

I have heard of it but never know when it is. I missed it a couple of years and then gave up.
