Cement chunks in dam-better use of a good thing, or flat dumb?

Ahoy!
The owner of the land I work (and intend to own in the future) has a nasty habit of making a dump of the place. Let's leave it at that.

To cut to the quick... I intend to build a gully dam to turn a deep little ravine (cross section is ~25 ft. wide by 15 ft. deep) into a productive water feature. Rather than have the farmer fellow (who is too old to learn new tricks, I'm afraid) dump the concrete someplace where his dim eyes can't see it but my keen vision is sickened daily, could I use it for the core of the embankment dam? It's all cement block with a little rebar possible. Probably two tractor bucket's worth. Dam keeners-what's your thought? If it's just flat dumb, go ahead and say so. I suspected it could be, but am stuck between a pricey and laborious dump run in ten years and...finding a solution.
Thanks!!

It can go in the dam, but you need to make sure you can pack the dirt around it. Could be problematic.

I would use it to line the overflow with a little rock on top to pretty it up. Or use it for erosion control in another gully.

Derick Greenly : The Core of the dam is Traditionally made from one massive monolith of Clay ! If you can dig down to clay, and create a clay core locked into the existing clay
you will have your best use of materials for your dam. I second R. Scotts Suggestion to use it for erosion control, done right you will also get lots of aeration of the downstream
water ! For the Good of the Crafts ! Big AL !
