Hi,

I'm not sure if I should expect to find much by making this post, but I'm gonna try my luck.

I'm a mother and wife, living with my husband and our toddler in Quebec, Canada. We live outside of the city nestled in the laurentian mountains, but we long to live in a community and raise our son (+ future children, God willing) in a life that makes sense. Running around barefoot, eating food we've grown and meat we've harvested. Learning permaculture. Homeschool. Beekeeping. Raw milk. The whole shabang.

Our life looks nothing like that right now. We have very little in terms of savings. Paying rent, most of our money goes towards basic living costs, but doing our best to support the farmers around us. We are obviously big dreamers. We are saving up to purchase our own land, but the world is rapidly getting crazier, and we would love to secure ourselves a home somewhere in this world, somewhere we could set our roots down deep, with a solid community living life as humans should be. We both have some experience working/volunteering on farms, but we are mostly newbies, with a strong desire to learn. BUT, we have a lot to bring to the table. My husband is Norwegian, strong, and into all kinds of manual labour. He currently works in car detailing, but in the summer, he works in landscaping. He has 7 years of professional experience as a personal trainer. He learns quickly and works efficiently.  I am primarily a homemaker, but I love physical work and want to learn everything it takes to run a farm. I currently babysit other children to make an income while homemaking and being home with my son. I am good at social media, content creation, anything creative/artsy, and communication. I make good food.

We are open to living in Canada, Norway, or other European countries. What's most important to us is a Christian community, for our son to be raised around other children, and for the community to be mostly English-speaking (but we are super happy to learn other languages too- just not all-french like here in Quebec lol). ***Also, we are looking to live somewhere with less harsh winters. IT'S TOO COLD HERE IN QUEBEC. We are particularly drawn to Alberta, but open to Ontario, BC, or other provinces.

We are happy to come and spend a few weeks/months to try out a place and meet the community to see if it's a good fit. We understand that finding the right place for our family might take some time. We trust in God's plan for us.

Is it too much to dream that there might be a community like the one we are seeking, opening its doors to families like ours who are searching for a place like what we've described? If you know of one, or are a part of one, please message me. Thank you! ❤️

Welcome to permies Rayanne.  I see posts about Christian communities forming in The States, but a lot less such in Canada or Europe.  Hopefully though y'all will find the right community.  May It Be that God guides your search.

You may have just won ten million dollars! Or, maybe a tiny ad.
