Are there any experienced local permaculture designers that would be willing to do a one day on-site consultation on a piece of property in Idaho County? My boyfriend and I are looking into purchasing a rural land with a combination of pasture and forest with water, preferably a spring. We would like to build a sustainable permaculture-based animal-friendly homestead with natural buildings. We'd like to get anywhere from 10-50 acres to have enough room for a comfortable secure living for a small group that would hopefully benefit the environment and other communities around us by improving the land and providing natural education, food, and medicine. I just quit my professional live as a forensic scientist, we are finishing an online PDC course with Geoff Lawton and we are hoping to use the homestead as an educational site for permaculture courses. My boyfriend is very handy with farm and construction work (including heavy machinery operation) and is looking into getting certified in masonry heater building. As newby permaculture designers we are looking for some local affordable help with creating a smart design for all of the things we'd like to accomplish.
If you think you can help us, please contact us at smigel1@hotmail.com
