I live where the forest meets the sea. My home is a manageable 2.2-acre homestead with a stunning ocean view, just 100m from the water. Because we are on the coast, the salt air and damp winters make intensive gardening a fun challenge rather than an easy guarantee. I’ve found that being happy and enjoying a coffee on the porch is more important to me than stressing over a perfect, high-yield harvest. I value the peace of the tides and the eagles over a picture-perfect crop.

I am a 60-year-old German immigrant to Canada, and I have spent the last 25 years building my life here in Canada. For 20 years, I have run a successful photography and tour business—watching grizzly bears, black bears, whales and other wildlife. Life here is never boring. If you have an eye for nature, I would love to teach you wildlife photography so we can share this passion out on the boat together.

While my daily life is deeply immersed in nature, we are not totally isolated. I am just 10 minutes from a friendly town of 2,500 people, so we have community and conveniences nearby. I also have two great sons (15 and 16) who stay with me on weekends and bring a great energy to the house. I am stable, active, and looking for a loyal partner to build a meaningful, shared future.

I'm looking for a partner who will make this homestead hers. I am open to your ideas, your dreams, and your changes to the land—our relationship is my priority.

I know that moving to a remote coastal area is a big leap. Because of this, I am very open to a Workaway/Helper arrangement first. This allows you to experience the whales, the bears, and the rainy days with a private space and no pressure, just to see if our visions for life align.

If you love the ocean, respect the wildlife, and want a man who offers full loyalty, I would love to hear from you. Please send me a message and tell me how you like to spend a rainy day on the coast!
