Suck on chewable  vit C  and drink tea made from ginger  or licorice or elderberry... I like the licorice or ginger the best.

Sometimes the answer is not to cross an old bridge, nor to burn it, but to build a better bridge.

Raw garlic peanut butter sandwich!  That's my cold cure, and it's better tasting than you might think.  Hope you feel better soon!
