Hey all,
My name is Anthony Sanford, currently I work and live in Michigan. I am 35 y.o. Male with no children. Im looking to move off grid, so ideally I'd like to get as much experience as possible in all fields. It starts with just getting out there. I have some residential construction experience, and knowledgeable in many different fields (jack of all trades). Im looking to get my hands dirty and learn a thing or 2. Internet isn't a big thing for me, I've read that some people require that. I only require food and a place to lay my head or pitch a tent. Location isn't a big deal either. Anyway I can help I will. Hopefully this message finds kindred hearts.
Can you tell this is my first online forum post? Lol Happy Days

Welcome, Anthony, we're not off-grid and have satellite Internet but no cell service for 10 miles and nearest small town is 30 min drive (Danville or Waldron, AR) with many larger towns and state parks within an hour.

We've been hosting volunteers for a couple years now and are ready to build out community and wellness sanctuary. If this is something you may still be interested in, please reach out.

Welcome aboard,

I have been off grid for at least 3 years now  ( electrical grid ).      But I do spend about $200 a year on propane for heating needs.

At present I am working toward moving more off the food grid, producing a higher amount of my own food needs each year.

I do advise looking to youtube to learn various ways to move off the electrical grid, and also to discover  that there are other grids as well  food, medical, security.....

I did not do this overnight, but as always a work in progress.

Cheers
