🚨 EXISTING SYSTEM: FAILED. NEW SYSTEM: BUILT.
Five years ago, during the early pandemic chaos, my husband Ken and I decided to "Exit and Build." We stopped fighting the entrenched system and tried to make it obsolete through superior methods (Buckminster Fuller style).
We bought 155 acres in Yuba County, CA. We thought we were buying a fresh start. We were wrong.
The system had a trap waiting for us: A Notice of Non-Compliance buried in the records.
• Former owners? Didn't disclose it.
• Realtors? Didn't know.
• Title agents? Did not tell.
Our realtor told us: "You are in big trouble”.
Yuba County said: “this notice will only be removed if you fix every single item”.
We didn't fight. We didn't sue. We didn't give up.
We spent a year building a relationship of transparency and respect with Code Enforcement. We treated them as partners, not enemies. We treated the land as a living being, not a commodity.
The Result? ✅ The "impossible" happened. ✅ A Notice of Compliance now hangs on our wall 😊. ✅ The property is secured in a Trust with a perfected Land Patent. ✅ 155 acres of healed soil, blooming orchard, new roof, an insulated yurt, and miles of trails.
We didn't fix this by throwing money at it. We fixed it by changing the relationship.
Now, we are looking for the next stewards. We are not selling to investors. We’re not looking for flippers. We are looking for people who understand that land is a legacy, not a commodity.
This is for those who: 🌱 who want to steward this beautiful land and reap all the benefits.
The trap is gone. The path is clear. If you are ready to write the next chapter of this sanctuary, view the short video below and then DM me on Telegram @KenCelebucki
