Hi,
Not here to talk about THC or other cannabinoids for the time being, but rather to talk about some interesting research coming out of Europe showing that crop-rotation strategies on monocrop fields of soy and corn utilizing the hemp form of cannabis, and cutting the stalks off rather than pulling the roots, is resulting in increased yields.
The research suggests that the increase is due to the 1-2 meter long taproots and dense fibrous root system increasing water and fertility percolation while providing increased fertility and organic matter via the decomposing root system, in addition to improving soil structure and microbial populations.
No surprise there.
With the increased yields during the two years of soy and corn, decreased pest, weed and disease pressure, plus the increased market and profitability of cannabis products due to legal restrictions being lowered, means that factory farmers now have an emerging option that can help them align with healthier land management practices without bankrupting them.
I call that a big win.
