I'll probably add to this list. I'm looking to learn the following skills and interested in opportunities for hands-on, collaborative learning thereof... Thanks in advance, brothers and sisters and all! I'm based in central Virginia (mid-Atlantic east coast) USA, by the way (blue ridge mountains)

Furniture making - (ideally) joinery, minimalist, innovative if/when/where appropriate

Natural pool and pond building

Natural building (the more locally source materials the better) - cob, wood, whatever

  - Relatedly, milling wood and responsible wood harvest

Brush/comb making (including shaving brushes), as well as related

woodworking skills such as spoons and tableware or anything relevant

Hot tub construction, sauna building, wood-fired and otherwise (compost-heated, etc.)

Wood fire place construction, especially with soapstone and maximum thermal mass technology (i.e. building out cob, seating, hearth around and included within fireplace/stove design) - relatedly rocket stove technology, building

Fermenting and distilling, preserves; the gamut: veggies, probiotics, etc., alcohol, non-alcoholic, ginger bugs, low-alcohol, soy sauce/tamari, miso, tempeh, tofu (possibly); fruits, berries, as well

Harvesting clay for ceramics, firing, sculpture, etc.

Growing grains, working with horses, joinery, growing medicinal plants and plants I can use like for fiber arts, teas, fuel(?), etc. and the art and science etc. of baking!

I'd appreciate it if you pronounced my name correctly. Pinhead, with a silent "H". Petite ad:
