Hey there, I have a steel frame dome and I'm about to build a cover over it for winter, so my idea is this ...
I'm going to secure chicken wire around the entire frame and then make a hydrated lime slurry with textile fibres and pack it onto the chicken wire with about a 10cm thickness, then giving it a finish to seal it when completed. I've done a test run in a hessian sack and it dries tough and light. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of build technique or point me to any information where I can further my knowledge on building with hydrated lime mixed with either wool/textile fibres, hay, wood shavings etc.
I would love to know more if anyone can enlighten me.
