Hi Mike,

This is new to me..

I have to build a roof over my sawmill which is a small band saw that I push through the logs. So I was going to use posts to hold up a roof but no sides so that logs and lumber etc can pass through it. It would be narrow and long, maybe 14' by 30'.

My question is could I use an earth roof or would it get too heavy or just not work on a pole building?

Any Ideas on treating sawed posts so they don't rot? I live on wet clay ground in NW PA.
