The homestead features sustainable systems with increased bio-diversity & principles of ecological design.  A plethora of perennial food & timber, with diverse ecosystems & landscape.  Annual veggies,  medicinal & herbaceous perennials, timber, fruit, nut trees & native species.  Examples of earth building, passive solar, rainwater catchment, solar installations, micro-climate enhancement, & organic perennial food.  The land is fully fenced, has a 3 stall barn, workshop, outdoor bathtub & kitchen, as well as solar shower in the garden, earthen passive solar greenhouse, irrigation pond & Maxwell lake water.  With the style of 'Salt Spring', this spacious five bedroom house has been tastefully renovated with natural & reclaimed materials & includes a library & sauna.  A lower level garden suite was ecologically designed & functions as a B & B. Come with your ideas ~ large family home, eco-resort, farm and/or school.  Located at the base of Mt. Maxwell Provincial Park, close to swimming, hiking, horse back riding, a country life, yet minutes to Ganges.

beautiful place, but for our area, one could easily buy over 1000  to 2000 aces for that money with many square feet of buildings,

(one is for sale here or just sold, had 4 handicap accessible fish ponds, newly remodeled buildings on it next to a local lake that is known for it fishing, and some very desirable land for the area,  and as also set up as a business and was in operation for additional income opportunities, plus some farming as well,
with out the buildings one could buy in our area, a lot of land for that kind of moneys,

I wish them luck in selling it,

Hey, sticks and stones baby. And maybe a wee mention of my stuff:
