Dear friend,
Have you ever dreamed of leaving the city behind and living closer to nature? Of waking up to birdsong, growing your own food, and feeling the rhythm of the seasons instead of the pulse of traffic and notifications?
If so, you're not alone. In our latest article ( https://ecominded.net/three-paths-to-harmony ) , we share three real-life paths to living in harmony with nature – each one honest, practical, and very different from the others:
🌲 The Forest Hut – A 4-square-meter dwelling of clay and straw, where a man sleeps under oak trees for eight months of the year, dries apples on his bed, and runs an international business from his tiny hut. Radical simplicity, surprising success.
🏡 The House over the River – A small village plot with electricity, gas, and running water – where nature and modern comfort meet in balance. This is the path our own family chose, and we share the honest story of why we traded a hectare of land for a garden we could truly tend.
🐓 The Family Homestead – A comfortable house with all amenities on 1.5–2 hectares, with a large vegetable garden, fruit and nut trees, chickens, geese, and perhaps a cow. Food security, potential business income, and a life of abundance for larger families.
There is no single "right" answer. The path that works for a single person seeking solitude may not suit a family with children. The path that works for one season of life may not work for the next.
What we've learned is this: common sense should be present in everything. A harmonious person has their head in the clouds and their feet firmly on the ground.
If you've ever wondered what living close to the land might look like for you – or if you're simply curious about the dream versus the reality – this article is for you.
