Highlights of this course include the construction of a natural, self-cleaning swimming pool which requires no chlorine or other chemicals to maintain it and extracurricular outings to explore some of the natural attractions of the area. This Advanced Permaculture Certificate Course will deepen your understanding of the diverse field of Permaculture. We immerse you in the theory and application of Regenerative Earthworks and Passive Water Harvesting and Management.
In this hands-on course, we explore the interconnection between soil, watersheds, climate and seasonality, agriculture, agro-forestry, and permaculture design as it pertains to earthworks. We learn to link these concepts into a comprehensive regenerative strategy for the development of a permaculture site and apply this knowledge in the development of an earthworks plan for the Blue Paradise Farms Permaculture site, of which we will lay out key portions and begin construction of on-site structures such as swales and a pool, working with hand tools up to large machines.
