Hello all, I am brand new to this website, but here it goes!

I live in Rhode Island and I have an education in architectural engineering, and my girlfriend has an education in interior design. I currently work at a kitchen and bath design firm in East Providence, RI. I have been familiar with the concept of earthships for quite some time, but I have now decided to really take it the next step and get the ball rolling. We are looking to build our own earthship right here in Rhode Island (or at least New England).

I have a couple questions I am hoping to get answered!

-Do any of you know of any earthships that currently exist in New England?
I have not found any, but I may have missed one!

-Do any of you know of anybody who has gotten help funding their project in any way?
I have seen a few projects on Kickstarter that have gotten funded, but they are usually only $5000 goals. I am interested in seeking government funding in the form of grants. I am planning on presenting the idea of this project to my community as not only an educational experience, but a community-enriching project that is a huge step towards green architecture (and a life of peace in general). Providence is a very progressive city and I have a feeling a lot of people will be on board with this idea.

Thank you, anything helps!!

I don't know the answers to your questions about funding, but I do live in Rhode Island! I went to East Providence high school and live in southern RI now.

Best of luck to you, I look forward to hearing about your progress.
