Hello Permies,

I've lived at the Living Springs Log House in the Arkansas Ozarks for nine years, and the land is now for sale by my friend who owns the land. I'm posting here because I hope it goes to someone who will care for the land the way my former husband and I have cared for it.

What's here:

- 14¾ acres 25 minutes outside Huntsville, in Madison County, Arkansas
- A log house with a walk-out basement suite that has its own entrance
- A cave spring that feeds the cisterns. In the nine years I've lived here, the spring has kept the cisterns full enough for our use, except when I forgot to turn off the hose or when technical difficulties arose.
- Established organic gardens, so you won't start from bare dirt
- A metal building for tools, supplies, workshops or gatherings
- Land that was cleared about nine years ago and has grown up. It could be cleared again for pasture or planted as a food forest.
- 40 more acres next door, also for sale

I'm hoping the next steward will keep it a vegan place, whether as a veganic homestead, a small intentional community, a multigenerational family home, or a farm animal sanctuary. The gardens, the spring and the metal building are a good start for any of these. Of course you don't have to be vegan to buy it!

You can see photos and more about the land at https://www.livingspringsloghouse.com . Lori Hawkins is the listing agent. Here is the Zillow listing: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/225-Madison-3469-Huntsville-AR-72740/2063370220_zpid/
