Here's nice little example of a small (~ 2ft tall x 6ft. long) Hugelbed I made for a friend.
After some explaining about how important these things are, she agreed to let me make her one.
She was quite excited to see the amazing results in very short time!
Note, she already had a decent 'flat on the ground' typical garden established and growing.
However, in comparison, many of the plants which were seeded into this newly constructed hugelbed out performed the flat garden!
some plants were originally from her other garden but, didn't show signs of making it. She figured she'd put them into the huglebed
and WOW! they did remarkably well!
by the way, the
wood used was primarily from an old
Apple tree, logs placed ends up.
