I gathered @7lbs of prickly pear cactus fruit the other day. Around 5lbs was nice and ripe. The wife and I juiced the ripe fruit today and we made some homemade cactus coolers. 1/3 cactus juice and 2/3 OJ. Damn were they good!!!

The rest of this batch of juice is going towards making some mead next weekend. The juice is so good though that we decided to go foraging for some more very soon to have it for more juice concoctions.

Mmmmm
I have had prickly pear cider before - very tasty.
Looks great. Keep us informed how the mead goes (and of course your recipe!)

What was your yield of juice off five pounds of fruit?
