Day 34 The earth is starting to expose itself from the winter snow pack. Seems to be melting fast with this beautiful weather we're having.
Won't be long until we start working outside. I know we're all excited to start getting a little dirty, or should I say muddy?
Day 35 Another solid day and we switched things up with a tiki Tuesday. Having fun and staying creative, we're thinking about a Thai Tuesday possibly next week. What do you think would be a good tuesday theme meal? Shish kabobs for a Tasmanian Tuesday?
We played around with some metal work today to get more lamps above the work benches in the shop. Lots of opportunity to build valuable skills here and become a well rounded asset. Jack of all trades master of none sounds better with an "s" then a "n".
Day 36 The snow is melting fast but we still have plenty of indoor projects to keep us occupied. Got all the lamps up today, then moved on to a shelf design for the Fisher Price living room. This one is a level up from the other shelves involving angle cuts for corners and proper spacing to place things in those corners.
Day 37 We got a little taste of the sun this afternoon making seed balls. It was nice to be outside in the fresh air listening to the birds sing while we worked.
Day 38 Another beautiful snow melting spring day. We were all over the place, at least for what we have access to.
We each got to weld an electrical box for more light fixtures.
Whipped up a shelf for the library.
made seed balls.
Organized the garage and library.
Logan made some signs to print out for recycling.
Dylan wrote out signs with a wood burning tool.
I covered compost and shuffled things around to and from the shop, in the garage and library.
Day 39 Fred and I took a shot at driving up to the lab. We didn't get very far.
We should have the tractor back in the first week of April.
The snow may melt before then but we'll see what comes first.
Day 40 Just posted for a badge bit for a vinegar brine. Here's the link to check it out. PEP-BB-Food-Sand-Vinegar The forecast called for rain but the sun wanted to hang out today. Perfect for drying sheets outside and listening to birds sing.
Day 41 Another solid Monday for the boots. Still lovin the fact that I get to learn and develop worthwhile skills everyday that I'm here. Leaned a little about notch fitting boards with the shelf/cubbies we built today. We cut the notches using a table saw and chisel. We overcame some problem solving with the installation working around a baseboard and carpet strip for the cubbie to fit right.
we finished the day in the warmth of the sun planting seeds.

Day 42 Forecast called for rain until 4 so we started the morning plantin Holzer grain. It wasn't long till the rain started so we threw up a shelf and found other activities to work on inside.
The clouds broke after lunch so we gotto play outside again.
Fred talked a little about a moisture meter as we moved things around in the library, bird's nest fungi out in the field, along with different varieties of mustard.
As always Taco Tuesday was a hit and Coco joined us as well. It was nice to meet another person that has worked with the gang at Wheaton Labs.
