Day 6
The first Monday to my first full week as a
boot. It was the coldest morning since I've been here being in the single digits, but there is no problem warming up and shedding off a layer or two with the
appropriate technology in these structures (thank you
rocket mass heaters!).
We finished installing the floor joists today and worked together with no problem keeping busy. We're all so thankful for Freds knowledge and patience to teach us along the way. We talked about the flooring a little bit, made some measurements, cut off a few tongues for the edge of the mezzanine and 5 o'clock was right there. Time flies here and it feels good to be flying in the right direction.
Paul and Jocelyn arrived here shortly after dinner with Judy (the fire truck. It's been getting worked on since I've been here) and a truckload of food. I was in disbelief with all the high quality food we all carried in. I can't imagine how long it took them to get all that, let alone how much it cost. Yet another thing to be thankful for, and have to say the treatment here is well beyond what I paid for to get to this place.
