When I lived in MN I and others had some horrible experiences with hunters.  A woman was gunned down going to her mail box in her bath robe.
I had my fences cut.  I found a hunter in my back yard who had just put a bullet in my house.  It was not uncommon for hunters to sit by a road in a lawn chair with a cooler of beer beside them and a rifle across their lap. None of these were from my area.

My experience in my present location has been great.  Permission is always asked for.  Everyone , so far, has been considerate.
