Wow, she does a master copy of the entire painting and such a good job too. And then she sold it, or more likely, it was commissioned.
I've never seen anyone get so excited about a tube of raw umber....except maybe me. It's an awesome colour!
Watching this, I'm filled with the desire to do the same. It would take me a year. But one or two portrait copies of someone in the picture might be feasible for next spring.
If you had to choose one section of the painting that would make a good study and could work well with lilacs, where would you choose? Not dead chicken girl, let's go with one of the guys.
