Hi everybody!

The morning started out very frosty. So, a fire was much needed at the shop.

From there, continued with more chainsaw maintenance.

Ended the morning part of Bootcamp with a sweeping the shop floor.

In the afternoon, went on with trail maintenance. For trail maintenance, dug out some more grass roots while placing rocks on the ground. This will remain an ongoing  project for now.

Took time off from that by harvesting a potato. This was an area that might have been overlooked. It might have been one potato but glad to have found it 🙂.

Then ended the afternoon by clearing out a young tree from all the grass that literally took over the cage. Another task that felt good after taking care of it, finally.

That's it✌️.

Hi again!

In the morning, cut some parts of a tree trunk from a tree that fell for firewood.

Then did some chopping and placed the wood in locations that were needed.

In the afternoon, did some more cleaning up of the young trees with cages.

That was only for a short period of time. Because.... we all ended the day with a Pizza Party! Yay!

I was in charge of making sure the pizza oven stayed at a consistent temperature while the pizzas were coming out.

While that was being done, Paul came by and got to hold one of the new additions of baby cats 😺.

That's it!

Hello!

Today sometime in the morning, the Abbey cats got fed and got clean water to drink.

Then their food supply got replenished later on in the afternoon.

After that was done, the pizza oven at Basecamp was brought indoors into the classroom.

That's it! ✌️

Hello!

Before going to The Lab, us Boots were split into three groups: The tractor group, the fencing group, and the going to The Lab group.

We filled up jugs with water and took them to Raspberry Hill to get some raspberry plants watered using the trickling method. This method involves placing jugs near a plant or young tree, usually at an incline if possible, and opening the top just enough so it a small trickle of water gradually comes out to water the intended plant or tree.

After that was done, went to the shop to pick up some supplies needed for The Lab.

As we were on our way to return empty water jugs. We got a call from the tractor group asking about a certain light appearing while the tractor was being ridden.

Due to that call, got a quick yet valuable instructions on tractor maintenance.

Once done with that, headed to Cooper Cabin.

While there, I watered the apple trees.

Then went ahead to see if  water came out of the water pump. It did.

As I was doing that, the rest of the group got a fire started at Cooper Cabin. A Sepper will be coming in a few days to stay at Cooper Cabin for a certain amount of time.

Once done with Cooper, headed to The Abbey and fed the cats.

Then made assessments on the gates there on how to improve or what needs to get done in order to make them more functional.

Before leaving The Abbey, got some logs, secured them and headed back to Basecamp.

At Basecamp, placed the logs in their designated area. That completed the morning tasks.

In the afternoon, went back to Cooper.

Some chopping and dropping was done outside the cabin. As I was inside, clearing and cleaning up the place some.

Ended the day with trail maintenance at Basecamp.

That's it.
