question about heating alpaca poo

Quick question and I hope to get a few quick answers!!

Someone graciously gave me about 200 lbs of fresh alpaca poop. It is mixed with straw. When I lift them, they are very warm - I know this is natural.

Sometimes improperly baled hay can spontaneously combust and has burned down barns before.

I want to store it until my greenhouse is completed.

My question is, will this mixture in garbage bags get hot enough to combust and burn up my storage building?

Based on the info you have provided I would have to give the answer that is regularly the right answer when it comes to composting.

It depends.

I would say in most cases no. But to definitively say no, I would need a lot more info and probably need to see it and then I would still hedge.

I have only heard of large quantities of stuff in a single mass spontaneously combusting.
While 200 pounds of poo is a 'large quantity' in my book,
and I want 200 pounds of alpaca poo,
I suspect the fact that it's bagged would interfere with it heating to burning hot?

I've read that you can use it directly on the garden like rabbit manure, although there's the parasite thing.

lol, I had kicked it out the back of my suv that night and it lays there still. Will have to move it very soon.
