Filling the earth bags

There are machines that fill bags with sand, gravel and/or pebbles, and weigh them at the same time. Can a machine like this fill earth bags, or is there some other step required - besides just filling? I would think it would help make a more uniform earth bag.

Depends. Some machines will work as-is, some will plug with the fine dirt--especially if you are running a moist mix.
