I notice that there are more and more 'vimeo' videos available, and for me, and my computer they won't load...they start and then stop and load some more, go for maybe 20 seconds then load some more, etc. I finally got a computer that will play youtube videos straight through and felt like I was kind of up to date and now I feel like I am way behind again.
I am hoping someone has some advice and it is just a simple something I can do to fix.

My Internet connection is too slow for vimeo videos to work. One of those 15 +/- minute geoff lawton videos takes me about an hour to watch if it doesn't freeze or start over.

When watching youtube, I set the quality lower so it will load ok.

Thanks, Will....I guess mine is too slow also. I was so happy when I could finally get a youtube video to load and watch a whole hour with no hesitation. Maybe the transition to all vimeo will be slow....if that is where things are headed.

Vimeo seems to have higher video quality, which of course means more loading. If you're doing it on a desktop or laptop, make sure you turn HD off on the videos (right hand side bottom corner ) blue is ON, grey is off. That sometimes works for me. I have teeeeeerrible internet, but won't pay for more.

If the video is HD you can turn it off by clicking the blue "HD" in the lower right corner.
What I usually end up doing is downloading the video to my hard drive and watching it that way. I use firefox browser with the DownloadHelper extention. You can also use it to download youtube videos.

Try 100 things. 2 will work out, but you will never know in advance which 2. This tiny ad might be one:
