I watched this series of videos from the Maine Primitive Skills School about Earth lodges and thought that they were similar to wofati in some ways, especially the great thermal inertia they have.



Since they were traditionally made by native Americans, there might be some lessons on how to make wofatis without any plastic.

Thank you for sharing this...I am rapping up a post on this subject at this time to be releases soon. This video by Michael Douglas's program, which several of my students have gone on to study under, does speak to many of the positives of traditional fossorial and/or heavy timber architecture...
