I have more questions than clues to how this would be maintained, but I just saw this kickstarter show up posted by Food Inc on my Facebook. So I thought I would share it here. I am in the process of evaluation of hives and applications for my urban homestead. So the various hive types and minimal disturbance of the bees interests me. But I am not sure how well this hive would work. Here is the link.

I hope the URL is allowed on this forum. So I thought I would ask the experts here their inputs on what they think about this. I have been particularly interested in the Perone hives idea since the bees are not disturbed and most of the hive belongs to the bees. So any idea that goes along those lines of minimal disturbance and enhancing the habitat of the bees seems to make sense. Thoughts?
