I am moving to Durango, Colorado in March to work with the local conservation corps as a crew leader, and I'm wondering what the community is like there and if anyone in the area would be interested in arranging a work trade situation for the upcoming season. I am currently living and working on a small goat farm in Oregon, so I've got some good experience there, and a ton of outdoor manual labor/building experience. My schedule will vary a bit throughout the season but for the most part i will have 4-6 days off at a time. My goal is to find either a farm or homestead that can provide room and board for those days (room can be as simple as a place to pitch my tent), and in return I can do farm and garden work/house chores/small scale building projects/landscaping and whatever else is needed. Because I will also be working a full time, strenuous job, I will also need a little bit of time to relax. That being said, I am very hardworking, easy to get along with, friendly, and enthusiastic. I really love farm work and manual labor, and I want to learn as much as possible while helping out in the best way I can.

Please let me know if this sounds like something you might be interested in, or if you know of anyone else in the area who needs some help!

Thanks so much,

Jennica
