Hi folks,

What are some good sources for seed nuts? Aside from just walking in the woods of course.

Looking for hickory, pecan, walnut, hazelnut, or any other nut or acorn that will do well in my little corner of Georgia.

You can always try Ebay. It can be risky, I got worms in some pistachio seeds, but then I also have a pistachio seedling so....can be good.

Sheffield's Seed Company and F.W. Schumacher have large selections of tree and shrub seeds including nut trees. Both have detailed websites.

My nursery sells seed nuts. We collect from select mother trees of chestnut, hazel, black walnut, butternut, heart nut, hybrid oaks, and lots of other species.
We usually send seeds out in the fall, most things are sprouting by now. Here's our page
