Hi Kate,

Are you looking for integrated products? IE, a radio or fan with built in solar panels and battery? Or are you looking for DC powered radios and fans which could be run directly from a solar panel/battery system?

In either case, what size/application are we talking about?

For DC gear to add to a solar power setup, the immediate cheapish options that come to mind are car stereos, and standard computer fans, both of which are 12V and often available cheap/free to the scavenging sort.

A number of years ago I purchased a solar powered/wind-up/battery radio at a Lee Valley Tools. It worked great sitting in a bay window charging from the sun all day.

Thanks for your reply. I am seeking radio or fan that runs off its own solar/windup/battery .
Vera...Great,thanks for the info..I'll check out Lee Valley to see if they still carry it.

Appreciate all the input
Kate
