How do I edit my own posts?

the button does not always show up for some reason? I'm using firefox, is this the problem or is the forum not letting me edit my own posts for some reason?

Please help or fix

This is a feature of the forum software. Once there have been replies to your post then you can no longer edit it, and even if there are no replies then the ability to edit is disabled after a short period of time. A couple of hours I think.
