It sounds obscene but I am waxing the chicken nipple waterers today. For some reason, the base of the 5 gallon buckets I installed the waterers in develop a fine, leaking crack around some of the waterers. DH had the idea to melt some cheese wax and drip it around the leaks to seal the bucket back up. So that's one of today's projects.

We did find a use for the leaky waterer though: the constant dripping attracted the turkey poults, who now know how to use it when sealed (I hope).

Just so ya know.

Funny title, but I knew what you were talking about as this project-bucket-waters for both pigs and chickens is on my list to do too
