In my front yard!

I am going to be putting a Dutchman’s pipe vine to go up one of the columns/posts in front yard, and an alba rose to go up another column or post to soften the look of the porch its self. Also, I will be putting a smaller Japanese maple specimen on the left side of the stairs in the middle of the bed to add interest and height. Is the look good? Thanks for any update.

that is one vine that i have not gotten growing here, but i think it is hardy here, and i would love to try it sometime.

i love my climbing roses but they did take a little to get them established in my zone 4/5 area..we are so cold here.

i love the look of vines and climbing roses together..we have been enjoying them in many areas of the property..in that way..i highly recommend it and the wildlife loves it..esp the hummingbirds.

Brenda, I'm zone 3/4 and an elderly neighbor planted a slip of Dutchman's Pipe over 50 years ago. It had all but taken over the front of the house by the time she moved a few years ago.
Think that it is a no no to send a bit of a slip through the mail?

don't know but i'll send you my address...stick some in damp paper towel in a zippy bag and mail it to me, i'll return you a check for the postage (or some seeds or stuff if you would rather)
