We are a couple from Västerås, Sweden who have found the house of our dreams. Not only a house were we would live our lives but also a place for people from all over to come to. A place where people can feel free, were people can find a sanctuary for mind and body. A place for people to grow vegetables, to grow friendships or just simply grow.
The ground belonging to the green house is 3,5 hectare. This means that there is a lot of space for people to grow things on. You see, we don’t want the ground all to our selfs. We want everyone to be able to come and use the earth for growing their greens. This would be a place for people to actually be able to grow their own food. Even people who are scared of doing something like that by themselves can come here and get taught how to do it.
The green house would not only be our home or a place for people to grow their greens. This would also be a place where courses are held, courses that give people the knowledge to be able to live a more sustainable life. People could come here to learn about permaculture or how to create fermented food amongst other things.
The house has been abandoned for a couple of years now. We recently met the owners who are now planing to sell it. We feel like this is the place for us and our dream of owning the house came one step closer when we met and talked to the owners. When they heard about what we dreamed about doing with the place they said that we sounded exactly like people they would want living in the house.
Now here is the problem. We don’t have the money to buy the house or the money we need to be able to take a loan for it. This is were you come in. With your help we can make our dream come true. With your help we can make this into what we dream it to be. A sanctuary. A permaculture community. A place for the kids to grow up. A place where freedom and dreams is what matters the most.
We would not be the only people benefiting from the house. We would, in the future, even want other people to be able to spend time there. There is also the idea of making an eco-village on the grounds. A place where people can live, grow their greens and just be a part of a sustainable community. That is the ultimate future for the grounds.
