I think this is the place.

So first off. My first post to permies was pretty inflamatory because i posted it many times and was pretty fired up. But who can blame me. This world is going to you know what in a hand basket. Thats why this kind of stuff is great because it gives us a break from our i phones. So anyways i would like to apologize for that.

Next. I have some property in Northern Ca. I have been slowly trying to turn it into a perm site. I am not certified or anything like that. I am just a guy with some land who wants to see it get used the most useful way possible.

I am looking for someone who needs a place to stay and can commit for at least a year and is interested in trading for their care taking. my property is located about 15 minutes outside of a small town called covelo. the community is a mixed bag but i know there is a good group of people into permiculture there. this is a situation that would require someone who like being in the wilderness and off the grid. i am not a control freak but i do like a clean house. I am way open to designs. I can help as much as possible but really this will be mostly you and your time. I can provide some funds for projects as i do want to progress in a meaningful way. I am working on fencing the whole property in for animals. there is a small cottage on the property but it will need to be reserved for vacations for me and my family i.e you would need to provide your own accomodations. I am fine with, teepees, yurts, tiny homes. No tents and no travel trailers. i am a builder and have a chainsaw mill and tons of timber, so i can help you build a tiny home if you want. please let me know if you have any other questions.
thanks

Hello,

My partner and I have helped as caretakers. Is there a structure there now to live in? Is there a wood stove, inside or outside bathroom?

Also, how close are you to mt shasta?
We may be interested.

The property is in Covelo but I live in Mount Shasta . I do have a house on the property but it's a vacation house for extended family. I'm a builder and I have a mill and there's lots of timber on the property and I'm more than happy to help someone build a tiny home or a yurt platform of some sort to get them going

You could definitely use the bathroom and shower though. I could see a yurt platform plus a tiny home with a bath/kitchen

Hi Everyone,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Courtney Bibb. I'm 41 and a single mother to a 16 year old daughter. I work full time as a police officer and have been for almost ten years.

I also have guardianship over my two month old grand daughter and I've a fury baby, he weighs about six lbs.

I'm currently attending school online full-time. My career path takes me to new heights as a naturopathic doctor.

The reason I'm wanting to leave a stable and secure job, I'm sure you want to know. I'm ready to get out of the city life and go back to my country roots. I was raised in mobile, Alabama and I miss the country air. I'm ready to explore new opportunity. My job as a police officer places me in obligations that warrant me to make negative changes. I'm constantly reminded of mean and evil people. I'm subjecting to gun violence, child abuse, deadly accidents and police suicide. I'm ready for change. I'm ready for positive changes and new inspiration.

I'm a hard worker. I'm dedicated and a team player. I don't smoke, don't do drugs and rarely do I drink a glass of wine.

I'm also in to yoga and I can teach meditation and nutrition courses.

Also, I'm a vegetarian and I'm educated in non GMO/gluten free diet.
I'm looking for a place that I can work in exchange for housing. I do have a car payment/car insurance that I'm responsible for, however, I will work doing whatever I need to do around the farm, house or errands. Having transportation I feel is a plus. I can commit to 30 hours a week in exchange for housing.

I hope you find my profile of great benefit My email is csa592@yahoo.com and 912-656-8807. I look forward to speaking to you and your family soon. Kind regards.... Courtney

Charley,
I noticed some of your posts regarding your property are from about 9 months ago...have you had any luck so far? If not let me know and I may have an alternative to discuss?
