Raven, can you provide a quick drawing of the location for this bend? That would help with answering your question.

ok thanks! .... for the quick reply (appreciated)

the green house will be narrow width (7') but it with-stood 4 blizzards
in four consecutive weekends in a row that dumped 36 inches of snow
each time and didn't phase it... the design was too strong )

then i'll siphon off heat from it and send it into the barn >>>>>

Raven Sutherland : Measuring from the manifold at the base of your 55 gal drum where the Falling stream of hot exhaust gases turn 90ยบ

to flow horizontally through your thermal mass- you can count on 30 ' of horizontal flow in a 6'' system minus Five (5') for every elbow -

With an 8'' system you can count on about 50 ' of horizontal run -5 ' for every elbow - then you need a final vertical chimney.

The taller your final vertical chimney the more you can stretch these numbers !

Generally we like to se the Final Vertical chimney to be places on the lee or downwind side of your structure and at least 5' over the peak

of your roof ! Hope this helps and is timely ! big AL !
