I am an 18 year old consciously-expanding girl looking for a place to work. I need to be close to the earth, and close to people. I am looking for a beautiful- energy place with wholesome people where I can connect to plants, animals, people and Gaia.
The historical villages of ancient humans were strong, giving based villages who were comprised of humans in communication with the vibrations of plants, other animals, the stars, the sun, the moon and the entire universe. I believe our culture is harmful in essence and I want to leave that to find like minded people who are experiencing the same immense changes and can share the world with me.
Any suggestions?

Check out WWOOF and also ic.org. The permaculturenews.org site also has a section with a large global map, organized around people and projects.
I'm sure you know to be very careful, especially if you're going out there alone. Permaculture sites and intentional communities are not immune to any of the hazards of being a young woman in the modern world. Check out places, get recommendations and references, and keep your BS detector maxed.

Work, or make something for yourself? I have other media if you would like to discuss intentions. I'm pretty young too. But I will tell you what. I've noticed in maybe the past couple years you need to find the people you jive with. I'm just not in it to work for someone the rest of my life.

Piper Hewitt : certainly checkout ALL of alder Burns recommendations - including having your B.S. alarm set on high ! Also a Site that I have heard good things about -

Helpx.net, While I have not personally made a travel/work connection through them, The site itself offers Short U-Tube videos of some of the people posting

and their 'little piece of heaven' as screens out problem people from both ends !

Actually I would love to hear back from people who have had this experience !

For the good of the Craft ! Big AL

Greetings.
I will say to get clear on what you are looking for. Then find people who are in that field and email/phone/in person contact them.

I want to do a work trade on a healing homestead. I started emailing midwifes and healing art centers with my request which is an advanced resume really. I send the request to many people in homes they know of someone. Let me know if you need anything.

Space seems cool in the movies, but once you get out there, it is super boring. Now for a fascinating tiny ad:
