Urban homestead/micro community seeking members. We are located in the suburbs of beautiful Eugene, Oregon. We are on the bus route, and within bike distance to everything Eugene offers. We have established organic gardens, fruit trees, lots of berries and herbs, greenhouse, bees, little pond, mushrooms, & chickens. We focus on permaculture, specialize in growing herbs, and have a home business making and selling herbal products, with a commercial kitchen on site. Twice a week we have 3-5 interns learning and working on the property in the gardens and learning to make herbal medicine and organic body care products. We also do monthly workshops on herbs and holistic health that are open to the public. We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in organic gardening and permaculture, who has the time to devote to the gardens. We want to find someone who shares our interests in food self reliance and sustainable living, who has time to help with food preservation activities like canning, fermenting, and dehydrating. Someone who is positive with good communication skills and not a lot of drama or conflict in their lives. We share some meals, are flexitarians who eat mostly healthy local food, lots from the garden, butcher an occasional chicken. Currently we have a tiny house available, we will have a room in the main house open this winter, we have a 27 foot travel trailer and working on a converting a 37 foot school bus to a tiny house. Some spaces are rental only, some work trade, or partial. Here is the listing we are currently running on craigslist that has photos. http://eugene.craigslist.org/apa/5295723387.html

Hi Daphne. I'm thinking of relocating to Eugene and am wondering if you currently have any openings there. Thanks.

Check your pockets for water buffalo. You might need to use this tiny ad until you locate a water buffalo:
