Duration: One full year starting late winter/ early spring 2016

For someone with at least one full year intensive horticulture apprenticeship or equivalent -

Housing & training for work-trade, a multi-tiered opportunity according to your situation:

1 day a week (the minimum) caretaking operations in exchange for own bedroom in UNM-area eco-homestead w/ native habitat, edible plantscape, orchard-gardens, bees, etc, plus occasional exposure to ecological design, specialty horticulture, regeneration forestry initiatives & participation in workshops

2nd day a week for seasonal training, cooperative membership, operations, harvest & income share from year-round Garden Starts CSA + neighbourhood Gardenshare

3rd day a week for seasonal training, cooperative membership, operations, pruning & grafting, harvest & income share from established Usufructus, Mediano, Fruitshare, and planned Appleshare & Chestnutshare orchards

4th day a week for seasonal training, cooperative membership, operations, container cultivation, income share from Edible Plantscapes nursery with over 600 high- & dry-land adapted fruit, nut, berry varieties

After successful year, re-up opportunity invokes away-stints: regeneration/ edibles forestry in NY, sub-tropical fruticulture in SoCal, drylands tree-cropping in Andalucia

This is an ecological homestead & drylands horticulture accelerator: the right candidate will carry away at a minimum experience to set out on their own, the right journeyperson will carry on with their own startup(s) calved-off my operations.

UNM North Campus neighbourhood homestead base & nearby Gardenshare yard + four orchards along the Valley, Edible Plantscapes nursery & Garden Starts CSA network

My name is Henry I am 32, graduated college in civil then electronics engineering. I am 6’4” 200lbs and not afraid to lift 200lbs on my shoulders. I have tremendous perseverance and attention to detail when doing things I love, perma-farming being one, as it keeps me close to God. I am religious and live almost a Monastic life, outside a monastery. Pretty boring one may think, but God is my fuel and I can be out there working that field alone, I don’t care, I do it alone, just God and I! I love helping and this is great for me, and great for you because I truly know what I can offer to another human, and it’s a lot, much more than you expect, possibly mind blowing! I will make anyone’s life easier for sure, and not because I would try, but just because it’s who I am, I enjoy transforming with my hands, making things from bad to good again, to make someone worthless valuable, I rather dress up an old puppy pretty again then to breed another one.

Let me tell ya a story about a man named Jed. Poor mountain man with a tiny ad:
