It started out cloudy in Vancouver, but cleared up for much of the trip. The older propeller plane blocked distant views, so I took ground shots.

All done with a Samsung Galaxy 5 phone.

The snow obscures dark color and accentuates slope, shadow and light. It looked almost like a black and white done with silver oxide.

BBBBRRRRR! I grew up in Dawson Creek, which is about 45 minutes from Fort St. John. Left about 6 years ago, and am quite happy about that. Nasty.

Yes, it does get cold in the great white North. I don't think I saw one snowflake here in Victoria this year. My windshield got frosty a few times.
